Cardiac Troponin I measurements can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Cardiac Troponin I can also be used as an aid in the risk stratification of patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS) with respect to their relative risk of mortality.
